Lights on Comm Ave
Wednesday, December 4th, 2013One of my favorite signs of the season is the Christmas lights on the trees lining the Commonwealth Avenue Mall (the tree-lined path running between the two lines of the wide avenue along the spine of Back Bay between Mass Ave and the Public Gardens). As I walked down the mall, I got this year’s first glimpse of the lights and I even saw the guy who was hanging some of the lights!

I was need of some peace on earth and good will towards men, so I went to a favorite familiar spot, Old South Church, for some uplifting music. The Old South Ringers were rehearsing for their Christmas handbell concert.
